Lighthouse Commons is a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF), licensed by the State of Wisconsin, and provides a group living situation in an apartment type setting. We are dedicated to nurturing the independent lifestyle you desire in a safe and secure environment. The emphasis at Lighthouse Commons is on providing a full and life-enriching experience for each resident, in a community of residents with similar hobbies and interests.
We offer what no conventional apartment home can, namely, a rich and wide assortment of services that enhance the comfort and security of each and every resident. Included under one roof is a library, self-service laundry, barber and beauty shop, an interdenominational chapel, mail boxes and postal service, comfortable lounges, and many other conveniences. As an added measure of security, entrances are controlled by internal camera/monitor surveillance equipment. Other services include meals, housekeeping, linen services, a wide variety of physical and spiritual activities, social services and maintenance.
Perhaps most significant to you is what your apartment will be like. You may want a kitchenette for preparing some of your own meals, or you may opt to enjoy meals in our dining area. We have cozy, one room units, or two rooms for those who prefer larger living arrangements. All of the units have private baths with lovely fixtures and important safety features. And you may decorate and furnish your apartment with your own belongings, in your own taste.
In order to provide the highest level of security and safety for each and every resident, every room is equipped with an emergency intercom system that is directly linked to our professional nursing staff at the adjacent Beach Health Care Center.
Supportive services such as medication administration by our 24-hour professional nursing staff, and minor treatments and monitoring during brief periods of illness are also provided. In the event that one of our residents needs longer term skilled nursing care, they will receive priority admission status to Beach Health Care Center over any admissions from the community.
